Hey, my name is Rory J. Jones, and I live in central Scotland, I am a student at Forth Valley College studying media. The year previously I did a media course focused on film and television and got a national certificate for it. I have always loved films and TV, watching lots as a kid as well as listening to music and playing videogames but I discovered my passion for making films during a work experience course I did. Which led me to appalling for the Film and TV course then later getting on the HND film and communications course. 

On these courses I learned lots about the media sector, the industry's I have learned most about are radio and film. I have written, filmed and edited a five-minute noir movie as part of a group, as well as filmed people doing presentations at the college for the college. I've learned how to set up and use video cameras, lights and different types of microphones like a boom mics and lapel mics. I'm currently working on scripts for two five-minute radio shows as well as a 30 second ad. I'm also learning how to write proofread and edit text for an online article.
